چکیده
In this work, a flow photoreactor was designed and set up using low-cost recyclable parts to develop chemical treatments based on advanced oxidation processes (AOP) of highly colored textile wastewater. To evaluate sustainable system´s efficiency, we investigated compared the performance three types destructive methods (UV/H2O2, Fenton, photo-Fenton) decolorization aqueous solutions Reactive Black 5 dye (RB5). We also analyzed effect oxidant concentrations rate color removal in each one methods. The results showed that, regardless initial operating conditions, photo-Fenton process achieved highest degradation rates, particularly when ratio between used ([H2O2]: [RB5] = 24.5 mg L-1: 25 L-1), leading complete within only 10 minutes reaction. With same condition, Fenton UV/H2O2 were capable removing entirely, even though they demanded more extended runs min. 45 min., respectively. pH by investigated, showing high at pHs 3 4. profile treatment appropriately fitted pseudo-first-order kinetic. non-expensive proved be quite useful for RB5, mainly azo underwent process.

Oxidation of commercial reactive azo dye aqueous solutions by the photo-Fenton and Fenton-like processes
This paper evaluates the degradation of two azo reactive dyes, C.I. Reactive Yellow 84 (RY84) and C.I. Reactive Red 120 (RR120) by photo-Fenton and Fenton-like oxidation. All experiments were performed on a laboratory scale set-up. The effects of different reaction parameters such as initial pH, contact time, effect of light and hydrogen peroxide concentrations on the oxidation of the dye aqueo...

This study focused on the advanced oxidation of the hetero bi-functional reactive dye Sumifix Supra Yellow 3RF (CI Reactive Yellow 145) using dark Fenton and photo-Fenton conditions in a lab-scale experiment. A 2(3) factorial design was used to evaluate the effects of the three key factors: temperature, Fe(II) and H2O2 concentrations, for a dye concentration of 250 mg L(-1) with chemical oxygen...

Wastewaters from textile industry contain various pollutants including a high content of organic matter, surfactants, additives and dyes. Dyes have obtained notoriety as hazardous substances, because most of them are toxic and considered to be resistant to biodegradation. Recently, advanced oxidation processes (AOP) have received considerable attention because it is possible to degrade organic ...
